About our reviews
Trust only means something if it is earned honestly. This page explains exactly where our reviews come from, how we verify and moderate them, and the rules we hold ourselves to — including publishing the reviews that are not flattering.
Where our reviews come from
Every review on this site is first-party. There are two sources, and only two: verified-purchase reviews collected through Judge.me after an order is delivered, and reviews submitted directly on this site by customers. We never import, scrape, or copy reviews from Trustpilot, Google, or any other platform. We only publish reviews about Cicabelle and the products we actually stock — never about other companies.
How we verify buyers
A review is marked “verified purchase” only when it can be matched to a real order in our system. Judge.me marks a review verified when it is tied to a delivered order. For reviews submitted on this site, you can add your order number and email so we can confirm the purchase — your email is never displayed publicly and is used only for verification.
How moderation works
Every direct review, question, and answer is screened by an AI assistant for spam, personal information, profanity, and relevance. The AI never approves anything on its own — it only flags and suggests. A real person on the Cicabelle team reviews every submission before it is published. Nothing goes live automatically.
How we use AI
AI is used in two disclosed, tightly-bounded ways: to summarise what real reviewers actually said (never to write opinions, verdicts, or invented reviews), and to translate reviews between Arabic and English so more customers can read them — machine translations are always labelled as such. AI never generates review content and never edits what a customer wrote.
We publish negative reviews
Critical reviews are published exactly like positive ones, in the same place, with the same prominence. We do not hide, reorder, or bury one-star reviews. If a product has a common criticism — slower shipping to a country, a formula that is too strong for sensitive skin, a price concern — you will see it, including in our summaries. A review is only ever rejected for spam, personal attacks, private information, or content unrelated to the product.
Answers in Q&A
Answers to product questions come only from the Cicabelle team or from verified buyers, and each answer is labelled with its source. We never invent customer answers or attribute expertise to fictional people.
